Gerry Shippey's Obituary
Gerry Shippey, 63, of Largo, FL passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Largo Medical Hospital. He was born June 9, 1959 in Detroit, MI to Clifford and Carol (Hahn) Hilts, who have preceded him in death. Gerry is also preceded by siblings, Dave, Jim, Cliff & Colleen. Mechanic by trade, Gerry was the ultimate “fixer & helper”, always offering to lend a hand. Amazing singer with a vast knowledge of music, when not working, he enjoyed starting their new chapter in Florida riding his Harley and his Polaris Slingshot around the State; along with hunting, fishing, boating and most of all, spending time with family.
Gerry is survived by his wife, Debbie, together 16 years; a daughter, Andrea (Tim); a son, Alex; 2 step-sons, Matt & Luke; 2 brothers, Chuck and Bill; and his adored granddaughter, Ainsley.
