Gertrude Leyden's Obituary
Gertrude Leyden (Geri) born in Philadelphia, PA on October 29, 1927. Met Thomas J. Leyden at an Irish dance while he was in St. Joseph's College. Married on April 30, 1949. Proceeded to have four sons - Patrick, Thomas G. Michael and Christopher. As a family, working for the Office of Naval Investigations, they moved to Subic Bay, Philippine Islands. After six years they all moved to Cherry Hill, NJ, Richfield, MN and Alexandria, VA. While in Minnesota, Geri graduated from the University of Minnesota with high honors and then received a Master's Degree at Catholic University, also with high honors. Geri retired from teaching Anthropology and then worked in real estate for 15 years. Husband Tom died in 1983, son Patrick died 2013 and son Thomas G. died in 2017. She is survived by sons Michael and Christopher.
