Gilbert Wilson Landon's Obituary
LANDON, Gilbert W. 96, passed away on October 26, 2016. Gil was born on July 1, 1920 to Clarence and Catherine Landon in Canton, Pennsylvania.
He is a United States Marine Corps veteran, an Eagle Scout, and a Boy Scout troop leader. Gil lived in Orchard Parkand worked for the State of New York as a civil engineer where he constructed bridges in the Buffalo area.
After his retirement, Gil and his beautiful wife Erma spent their time traveling in their fifth wheel trailer and enjoyed boating and canoeing at their lake house in Silver Lake, NY.
Eventually they made their way south and settled in the Safety Harbor area. Gil was a thirty year parishioner of Heritage United Methodist and was very active in his Briar Creek community.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 am on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Heritage United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to Heritage United Methodist Church, or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
