Dear Dillman family - I am so very sorry. I just heard the very sad news re: Gillian. I am the University of Kentucky Career Coach. I worked closely with Gillian re: her Tampa job search, assisting her with her resume, strengthening her interview skills and talking about job offers. I have many email exchanges with her and they were all so kind and thoughtful thanking me for my advice and career coaching. She was one of the first students in her Class to let me know she wanted to help other nursing students whom were job searching in Tampa. My heart breaks for you all. We have about 250 nursing students that graduate every year, and I truly remember her very clearly. She was a shining light and I will remember her always. May her sweet soul rest in peace, Sue H. I worked with Gillian while she was training as a new nurse in the ER. I remember being so impressed the first time I worked with her. She was a wonderful nurse, very smart and motivated. Whenever I would work with her, I remember always seeing her computer station but never her. I started to realize that that was because she was always in patients rooms making sure that they were all taken care of and comfortable. She was always so soft spoken and kind. In a profession full of burnt out, jaded healthcare workers (myself included) Gillian was truly a light. It was so refreshing to work with her, she truly radiated kindness.
