Gladys F. Moreno's Obituary
Gladys Moreno, age 77, left this earth on March 3, 2014 to be at peace with the Lord. She passed away quietly under the care of Hospice after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She is survived by her husband Henry of 57 years and her daughter Debra Duvoisin, Dr. Jan Duvoisin son-in-law, and grandchildren David and Danielle. Gladys was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico and relocated to New York City where she met and married Henry Moreno. Gladys had a lengthy career in banking and retired at age 55 after relocating to Florida. She was an active Women's Auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 275, Dunedin, Florida.Gladys was known for her fantastic Puerto Rican cooking and loved to entertain guests and family. She was a loyal friend and always available to help those in need. Mostly, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was very loving and generous. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Moss Feaster Funeral Home in Dunedin, Florida with a visitation to follow from 2:30-5:00pm at the funeral home chapel.A graveside service will be held at 10:45 am on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Bay Pines National Cemetery in Bay Pines, Florida.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Organization, www.alz.org.Friends and family may sign the guest book at www.mossfeastedunedin.com
