You don't know me, but I'm Gladys' first cousin, 2x removed (through the Cointin side). I knew and spoke with Joseph Cointin, Gladys' half brother, before he passed and I have followed the Cointin and Turner family from afar. I am very sorry for your loss. I will miss my Aunt but I know she is in now enjoying the rewards she has earn from serving God and doing his will, plus she is with family and friends who have gone on before us but we will see her and others again soon
I wish I could say I was at Aunt Gladys' funeral, but finacial restraints did not allow me to bring my mother (Arlene Turner, Leon & Gladys sister-in-law) to Florida. Please let us know when the memorial in St. Louis will be. We will be there with out fail. I did not have too much contact with Gladys when growing up, except when they lived in St. Louis. This is not surprising due to her life long work serving the Lord side by side with uncle Leon. Her mission is done, Her service is complete . The Lord said to her, "Well done, my good and faithful servant". We will miss her on earth, but she is at her heavenly home with her family and friends as I write this today. I know my mother is in a better place now where there is no suffering. I will still miss her every minute of every day. Thank you to all of their friends for being so supportive during this difficult time.
