Gladys L Williams' Obituary
Obituary for Gladys L. Williams
Gladys Long Lee Williams, 90, of Palm Harbor, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. A cherished resident of Palm Harbor since 1954, Gladys was born in Long Creek, South Carolina, and made Florida her home beginning in 1957.
A woman of quiet strength and unwavering dedication, Gladys built a life centered on hard work, compassion, and service to others. She spent many years as a cashier at Publix and later managed an auto store—roles in which she was known for her warm smile and genuine care for every person she encountered. Gladys also poured her entrepreneurial spirit into the community as the owner of a second-hand thrift store in Palm Harbor, creating a welcoming space filled with both character and kindness.
Gladys’s faith was an important part of her life. She was first a member of Ozona Baptist Church and later joined Christ Church of Palm Harbor, where she found fellowship, comfort, and purpose. Her gentle heart extended beyond people—she was well known for lovingly caring for stray cats, an act of compassion that became one of her most tender legacies.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, John Williams, and her son, James Kevin Lee.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Tsotsos (Alex); her grandson, Nicholas (Vi) Tsotsos; her great-granddaughter, Elin Tsotsos; and stepchildren, John David Williams and Deborah Griswold - all of whom carry forward her memory with deep affection.
In honoring Gladys’s lifelong love for animals, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Meow Now, supporting efforts to protect and care for community cats.
Gladys will be remembered for her resilience, her generosity, and her boundless heart. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched—both human and feline—and in the warmth she shared so freely throughout her ninety years.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, March 14th, from 10am to 11am, with the funeral service to follow at 11am at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 1320 Main Street, Dunedin, FL, with burial to follow at Dunedin Cemetery.
