Gloria Jean Cover's Obituary
Gloria Jean Cover passed away on January 9, 2018 in Clearwater, Florida. She was born in Hershey, Pennsylvania on February 19, 1942.
She was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, James T. Cover.
She retired from Hancock Fabrics and continued to be an accomplished seamstress. She created beautiful blankets, dolls, handbags and other arts and crafts that she proudly gave to family and friends as gifts throughout her life. She had a collection of pitchers and bowls that she displayed in her Clearwater home of 40 years. She had a cat named Dexter that was her companion for the last several years.
Gloria was a devoted member of the Christ Community Presbyterian Church in Clearwater, Florida. She was also a member of the church’s Bible Study Fellowship.
She is survived by a son, Thomas Zimmerman and a daughter, Penny Lynn Smith; a grandson, James Zimmerman; three granddaughters; Caitlin Smith, Haylee Smith and Alexis Zimmerman.
She also had two stepsons; Timothy T. and Paul R. Cover; a stepdaughter, Marcee Bowser; four step grandchildren; Krista Montalvo, Rachel Ritsko, Kevin Cover and Gerald Yoder.
She is also survived by two brothers; Jim and Jerry Mckee.
Gloria had many friends and family who will miss her dearly. She was a very kind and beautiful lady.
Gloria’s celebration of life will be Sunday, January 21st at 12:30 p.m. at
