Gloria E. Ortiz's Obituary
Gloria Ortiz, 75, of Clearwater, Florida went to her heavenly home on Thursday, August 19, 2021.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Gloria was born to the late Antero and Maria Collazo, in Cayey, Puerto Rico on September 13, 1945 and married to Carmelo Ortiz on February 17, 1962.
Gloria was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family and church.
Gloria was blessed with a large and loving family. She treasured time with her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma “Mama”. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh and made friends everywhere she went. She loved to travel, go shopping and spend time with her loved ones.
She will be dearly missed and will forever be in our hearts.
She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Carmelo Ortiz; sons, Carmelo “Min” Ortiz, Daniel Ortiz, Nate Ortiz and daughter Carmen Ortiz; her grandchildren Kevin Ortiz, Nate Ortiz Jr., Ron South, Shane South, Stephanie Ortiz, Gloria Figueroa, Jasmine Velazquez, Vanessa Ortiz, Betzy Rodriguez, Mark Martinez, Kristian Ortiz, Jordan Ortiz, Roman Ortiz, Cesar Ortiz; her great-grandchildren Evelisa Lamour, Anelisa Lamour, Alexis Rodriguez, Gianni South, Noah Velazquez, Lyam McKinley, Xavier Jennings, Ella Velazquez, Antonio South and Gabriel Ortiz; her sisters Carmen Collazo and Hilda Ortiz. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Lolita Ortiz.
A funeral service will be held for Gloria on Monday, August 23, 2021 at
Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 South Belcher Rd. Clearwater, FL 33764. Visitation will be from 11:00am–12:00PM with a service following at 12:00pm. Immediately following the funeral service will be the burial at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens, 1750 Curlew Road Palm Harbor, FL, 34683.
