Gordon Lee Bell's Obituary
Gordon L. Bell, 82, of Clearwater Beach, FL died Monday, December 25, 2017 at Bay Pines Veterans Hospital after an extended illness. Gordon was born December 14, 1935 in Washington, PA to Lloyd H. & Mary (nee’ Barnes) Bell, both deceased. After graduating from Trinity High School, Gordon enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, earning the rank of sergeant and serving in Camp Lejeune & Guantanamo Bay. He and his brother Lloyd (deceased) were partners in C.S. Bell & sons until retiring and closing the family business of 95 years in 1997. He was a member of The Church of the Covenant and after moving to Clearwater attended Chapel By The Sea in Clearwater Beach. He was a 55 year member of the Washington Masonic Lodge #164, a Life member of the Elks, a 61 year member of the American Legion and a NRA member. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Lee (nee’ McWilliams); daughters, Kimber Lee Bowman, Karen Lee Gift and 6 grandchildren.
