Gordon Morrow Clark's Obituary
Gordon M. Clark, 86, of Palm Harbor, Florida passed away peacefully at home after a long illness. Born in Everett, MA., he spent many of his years in the greater Mobile, AL. area and moved to Florida in 2018 to be near family. Gordon was a graduate of Tufts University, Boston and New York University, with Chemical Engineering degrees. He was Councilman (1970-1973) and the Mayor(1971) of East Windsor, NJ and worked for American Cyanamid, FMC and Ciba Geigy in NJ and AL. His skillset was massive. Gordon could run a chemical plant one day, take apart a car engine the next and create beautiful stained glass the next. He had a quiet and unbreakable love for his wife and beloved daughter and granddaughter. An avid history buff, Gordon often served as a human search engine when one needed answers to most questions. His intellect, dry wit and crooked smile will be missed by all that knew him. Providing the ultimate gift to others, his body is being donated for anatomical research by medical students in the State of Florida. May he rest in peace. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sherrill S. Clark and his daughter Barbara (Jeffrey) Marhafer, of Palm Harbor, FL, his granddaughter, Heather (Brandon) Streat, of New Orleans, LA. and his sister, Carol Williams, Of Wingham, NH. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. A small gathering will be held at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 1320 Main Street, Dunedin at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 6, 2020.
