Grace Anna Berry
June 10, 1913 - July 4, 2015
Grace Berry, born Grace Anna Brown, passed away Saturday, July 4th, 2015 going out like the firecracker she was, surrounded by close family and friends at Sun Coast Hospice.
Grace was born on June 10th, 1913 to Rino and Cora Brown in Port Edwards, WI. From this moment she embarked upon of life of travel and adventure. The Browns soon moved to Omro and eventually Oshkosh where Grace spent her childhood years. On March 10th, 1936, she married Clarence Berry in Rockford, IL and soon became a full-time military wife accompanying her husband to live close to many of his assigned military installations including Japan, Guam, California and eventually settling in Bremerton, WA. While living abroad Grace was very active in military related organizations and became well known for beautiful work with ceramics, her sewing and her ability to cook a delicious meal for Clarence and his many navy friends at a moments notice.
After her husband’s retirement from the Navy, their travels continued and Grace called the states of Washington and Wisconsin home. In 1988, after their decades of globetrotting, Grace and Clarence settled in the cutest home in the quaint town of Dunedin, Flordia, and resided there until their deaths.
Clarence preceded Grace in death, passing February 29th, 2008. Grace was the last surviving member of her family being preceded in death by her brothers Harold, Donald and Les and sisters Mabel and Ruth.Grace is survived by many nieces and nephews, her dear friend, Wilda Kerns, and many friends at Dunedin Palms and Rosewood House II.
Per Grace's wishes, there will be no service. Inurnment will be in Omro, Wisconsin.
