Gregory Daniel Gracy's Obituary
Gregory D. Gracy, 90, of Dunedin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July
31, 2025.
A proud West Virginia native, Greg graduated from WVU and earned his law degree there. While in law school, he was active in ROTC and was called to serve in the U.S. Army, completing his service at Fort Knox before returning to finish his degree.
He moved to Florida in 1960 and joined attorney Fred Peebles, beginning a legal career that would span over six decades. Greg first practiced in banking and mortgage law, then helped guide many of Dunedin’s early real estate deals. In time, his practice evolved into estate planning and elder law — where he became a trusted counselor to generations of local families.
Greg was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sheila, in 2010, and by his son John in 2019. He is survived by sons David (Debra), Karl, and Andrew (Heather); grandchildren Megan, Mollie, Jillian, Matthew, Jolie, Julia, and Jessica; and his devoted partner in later life, Sue Gray.
He was proud to see his son Andrew and grandchildren Jillian and Matthew carry on the family’s legal legacy.
Greg’s Catholic faith and love of service were central to his life. He was instrumental in the growth of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and School, where he sent his sons — and later his grandchildren — and where his legacy continues. The family would appreciate any donations in his honor be made to Our Lady of Lourdes School and/or Parish.
Rest easy, Dad. You showed us how to live with dignity, and how to leave with peace.
A funeral mass will take place at 11:00 am on Friday August 8, 2025 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. The family will receive visitors the evening before at Moss Feaster Funeral Home Dunedin Chapel from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
