H. Jean Mazak's Obituary
H. Jean Mazak, 78, Clearwater, Florida, formerly of Scranton, Pennsylvania, died on February 5th, after a brief battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren at the time of her death. She was born on November 11, 1938, she was preceded in death by her parents, Frank A., and Helen M. (Johns) Townsend.
Jean was a graduate of Scranton State School of Nursing, class of 1959. Prior to retiring Jean had been working as a Home Health Nurse for Morton Plant Hospital. Jean still enjoyed doing her crafts and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son Kenneth Mazak II, and her daughters, Kimberly (Mazak) DeMatteo, (Michael), son-in-law, and Karen Mazak, Clearwater, FL. She is also survived by her 5 grandsons, Michael II, Samuel, Nicholas, Joseph, and Patrick, all of Safety Harbor, FL.
The family will be having a private service at home. Anyone wishing to make a donation please feel free to give either to the Blind Association or to Cancer research.
