Harry Lamont Steller Jr.'s Obituary
Harry Lamont Steller JR. Passed away peacefully on September 20, 2014. Harry was born on July 27th 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Harry L. Steller and Mary Steller. He attended Gesu Elementary School, St. Ignacious High and John Carroll University, graduating in June 1961. The following week he started his business career at B.F. Goodrich, Akron Ohio in the marketing and advertising field. In 1971 he moved to Brennan and Howard Inc., as a sales rep. That led in 1980 to the formation of MAS Inc., a distributor of electronics and appliances, where Harry was the president until his retirement in December 2004. He also served on the board of the Crosley Corporation from 1989 to 1995, and became the chairman of the board from 1995 through 2004. He was an avid golfer, having been a member of Fairlawn country Club (Akron, OH), Sharon Golf Club (Sharon, OH) and Wyndemere Country Club (Naples, FL). He also loved to fish and was often known to catch “a big one”. Harry also never turned down a card game.
Harry is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara, daughter, Valerie (partner Maria Gianas), sons Stephen (wife Jordan), Michael, and grandchildren, Kali, Nic, Shaw, Kaz, Kade and Stevie Marie. He leaves behind many wonderful friends, co-workers, and a legacy of love, laughter and a spirit of salesmanship. A memorial service will be held at Moss Feaster Dunedin 1320 Main St. Dunedin on Wednesday September 24, 2014 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation, The Alzheimer’s Association, The USF Health Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute or a charity of your choice.
