Helga E. Condon's Obituary
Helga Condon has transitioned into being a full time angel. She passed peacefully at 87 in her home in Largo, Florida. She slipped away in her daughter’s arms while listening to her son play guitar. Her final words before resting were “the music is awesome!”
Helga was born in Germany to her parents Erich and Gertrud Dominik. She moved to America when she was 15 years old with her siblings Gunther Dominik, Gertrude Sawatski, Erich Dominik, survived by Werner Domink, Jurgen Domink (wife Sherry Domink), and sister-in-law Karen Dominik. She then met and fell in love with her late husband, Robert H. Condon. Some of the best days of her life were getting engaged, and getting married in an intimate candlelit ceremony. The next best days of her life were when her surviving children, Robert T. Condon and Kimberly (KK) Condon, were born. She also leaves behind her beloved step-daughters, Stephanie Peironnet (husband Fred Peironnet) and Jenny Marrs (husband Greg Marrs). She raised her family in Excelsior Springs, Missouri and Kankakee, Illinois. She was then able to enjoy life with her grandchildren Clint Cunningham (wife Jacque Cunningham), John Marrs, Olivia Condon, Maxwell Condon, and eventually great-grandchildren Taylor Cunningham and Jude Cunningham.
In 2015, she moved to her own personal paradise in Largo, Florida. She dedicated her life to taking care of her family and laughing with friends. As an avid bridge player, she loved to win and did so often. She passionately supported Gert’s Kitchen, a charity formed in honor of her sister. She had a special connection with nature, loving to hike in the woods or float in the ocean. Her spirituality was deeply important to her and her positive attitude was contagious.
Helga spent her final days exactly how she wanted to, filled with gratitude and flooded with well-wishes from loved ones. She glowed while “holding court” as visitors joined her in her living room, recounting memories and sharing stories. She insisted that she did not want to have a funeral.
