Henry Pearson's Obituary
Henry “Bud” Pearson
PEARSON, “Bud,” 91, passed away on April 3, 2016.
Bud was born July 1, 1924 in Indianapolis and raised in Bedford and Bloomington IN. He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II. After the war, he finished his business degree at Indiana University and began his career in the insurance business. His job took him to St. Louis where he met Laverne Quest. They were married in 1952 and had three children, Becky, Elaine and John. In 1957 they moved to Miami where he made a career in the banking business.
When he retired in 1982, he and Laverne embarked on a motor home odyssey that took them throughout the eastern United States. They finally settled in Hendersonville NC, where they enjoyed hiking in the mountains and walks with the Western Carolina Botanical Cllub. Bud was an avid golfer, and enjoyed woodworking, making stained glass and painting.
Bud and Laverne continued to travel in their motor home and spent several winters in Tucson AZ. In 1998 they bought a home in Palm Harbor FL and lived as snowbirds for several years. They moved to Palm Harbor permanently in 2009.
Bud is survived by his wife, Laverne; children Rebecca Herold, Elaine Pearson and John Pearson; grandchildren Brenda Rzemyk and John Paul Herold; and great-granddaughters Sarah and Rachel. We will miss his love, charm, wit and sense of humor.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a future date.
In lieu of flowers please send a memorial gift to the Humane Society of Pinellas. http://www.humanesocietyofpinellas.org/.
