Henryka Maria Lubinska's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce Henryka Maria Lubinska, 68, lovingly known as Henya to friends and family, has passed away suddenly on January 2, 2025. Henryka was born in Chojnice, Poland on July 15, 1956. She immigrated to Clearwater, Florida in 1983 after visiting her brother, Adam, and falling in love with the warmer weather. She loved the Tampa Bay area and especially her favorite, the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team.
Henryka worked hard to build a life for herself and her sons, and had an incredible career spanning 40 years at Red Lobster as a server, and as a bartender at the Polish Center of John Paul II. She was dedicated to building friendships with her regulars through her warmth and charm, and took immense pride in her call parties who requested her on every visit.
Henryka was a loving mother, sister, and friend, and she will be missed tremendously by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Konrad and Salomea; sister Marylka Lubinska; and brothers Kazimierz, Marek, and Roman Lubinski. She leaves behind son Robert Wasilewski (Catherine); son David Wasilewski (Sinthia); brothers Adam and Edmund Lubinski, sister Alexandra Gliszczynska, a loving extended family and innumerable cherished friends in Florida, Poland, and Germany.
A visitation to pay our last respects will be held at the Moss Feaster funeral home on January 11th from 11 AM – 2 PM, immediately followed by a celebration of life at the Polish Center of John Paul II. The family invites all who knew and loved Henryka to join in honoring her memory, until we meet with her again.
