Howard E. Deckrow's Obituary
Howard Edward Deckrow- April 19, 1925-February ,2011.Howard passed peacefully in the presence of his loving family in Palm Harbor, Florida. He was a long time resident of Otisville, Michigan who spent many winters in the Tarpon Springs, Florida area. Howard was born in Bay City, Michigan and was the son of John and Catherine Deckrow. He was a proud World War II veteran. He was married to his beautiful wife Marie for 64 years. Together they have 5 wonderful children, John (Sue), Jim (Patti), Jerry (Elsa), Karen Smith (Alvin), and Joe (Sue), 9 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Howard and Marie were married in Grayling, Michigan on May 8, 1946. He worked as a pipe-fitter for Fisher Body in Flint, Michigan and retired in 1983. The two of them have been long time members of Richfield United Methodist Church with many friends in the Otisville, Michigan and Tarpon Springs, Florida areas. Among his many talents were woodworking and refinishing vintage cars. He will be greatly missed but will also remain etched in our fond and loving memories forever.
