Ingrid Hannelore Meissner's Obituary
Ingrid Hannelore Meissner “Mimi” of Dunedin, Florida passed away the age of 85 on December 26,2021. Ingrid was born on November 16,1936 in Tilsit, East Prussia, Germany to parents Herbert and Gertrud Duna Babian. After WWII and the building of the Berlin Wall, Ingrid escaped to West Germany and found work with the United States Army in the Civilian Personal office in Munich. In 1969 Ingrid decided to cross the Atlantic to start a family in the United States. She loved to travel, read and spend time with her family.
Ingrid is predeceased by her husband Edmund Meissner; parents, Herbert and Gertrud. Survivors include, daughter, Tanya (Jon) Abresch and grandchildren, Justin, Nathan, and Owen ; son, Steven (Destiny) Asselin and grandchildren, Erin, Brynne and Avery ; sister, Gisela (Horst) Wesch and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday December 31st 2021 at 11 am at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Foundation for Woman's Cancer.
