Irvin Warach's Obituary
Irvin Martin Warach of Oldsmar, Florida, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 in Mease Dunedin Hospital, Florida, after a lengthy battle with congestive heart failure. Born in Bristol, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late David and Ethel Warach and grew up in Trenton, New Jersey. The husband of Harriet Warach, they had recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. Before moving to Florida, Irvin was an independent business owner in Doylestown, PA., having owned Strand Cleaners for 12 years. After selling the business, he moved to Florida to enjoy the warmer weather, golf and a more stress free lifestyle. He was active with the local YMCA, participating in the Silver Sneakers program. He was a longtime member of East Lake Woodlands Golf and Country Club and he was a crossword puzzle enthusiast. Irvin was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean War. He will be remembered for his dry sense of humor and his mellow personality. In addition to his wife, Harriet, he is also survived by his daughters, Beth and Lynn and her husband, Jon Van Ingen, and his grandson, Nicholas Reffuge. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Eli and Leon, and his sister, Gertrude. A memorial service will be held in Florida at a later date.
