Istvan C. Skolik, age 89 of Dunedin, Florida passed away on Wednesday morning, April 16, 2014 at Mease Hospital in Dunedin, Florida.He was born in Budapest, Hungary on November 4, 1924, the son of Stephen Fredrick Skolik and Rosalia (Fulop) Skolik. He moved here in 1969 from Vienna Austria.He was an Apartment Superintendent for multiple locations. He was a member and director of the Hungarian Christian Church in Safety Harbor, Florida. He was an active participant and considered a pillar in the Church community. He was also member of the Hungarian Social Club of Pinellas County, Florida.He is survived by four children, Steve, Robert, Christina and Maria. Istvan enjoyed fishing, going to the casino boats and doing his daily crossword puzzles. The church was a main force in his life and he participated up until he was no longer able to. He was a director at the church and felt great satisfaction and purpose from participating. Istvan was always happy go lucky, enjoyed making people laugh and always had a good joke to share. He was loved by many and he did the same in return.A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at the Hungarian Christian Church in Safety Harbor, Florida.The family suggests contributions to the Hungarian Christian Church of St. Petersburg, Inc.303 8th Avenue North, Safety Harbor, Florida 34695.Friends and family may sign the guest book at www.mossfeasterdunedin.com
