Jack T Jarvis' Obituary
Jack T. Jarvis, age 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born on October 28, 1935, to Ray Jarvis and Maxine (Oliver) Jarvis in Albany Kentucky.
Jack served in the US Marine Corps from 1952-1954 during the Korean Conflict. After his time in the service, Jack worked in the television industry for over 52 years. He began his career in Dayton Ohio at WLW. After moving to the Tampa Bay area Jack worked at Channel 8 for 21 ½ years and wrapped up his time in TV production at Channel 22 ( Christian Television Network- CTN). After retiring he then returned to the work force bagging and helping others at Publix for six years.
Jack loved to play golf in his spare time and the game kept him busy spending time with his wife Anne and his friends.
Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was defined by love for his family. He shared a strong and enduring bond with his beloved wife, Anne, and took great pride in his children and the family they built together. His steady presence, wisdom, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; his sons, Eric Jarvis and Preston Jarvis; and his daughter, Sherri Amato. Jack also leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
Jack’s legacy will live on through the love he gave, the values he passed down, and the many memories shared with family and friends. He will be remembered always for his love for the Lord, his kindness, dedication, and the deep love he held for those closest to him.
His celebration of Life / Memorial Service will be held at Moss Feaster (Belcher Rd.) in Clearwater on March 30, 2026. The Celebration will begin at 5 pm with a service at 6 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack’s memory may be made to AccentCare Hospice in Dunedin, FL.
