Jack Kenney, 86, of Belleair, FL passed away July 13, 2024, at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater. Jack was born February 8, 1938, in Dayton, OH to Francis and Helen (Hess) Kenney, who have preceded him in death. Jack was a loving Read Obituary
Mr. Kenney was a wonderful man. Many of us were fortunate to have worked at Western Reserve while he was CEO, however I doubt any of us will meet a finer person.
Just riding up on the elevator with him improved your day. He faced you and said hello with a smile, and sincerely asked about you. He lifted your spirits just by his presence. He made a special effort to notice and value each employee and made everyone feel important.
Mr. Kenney built a very successful financial products company. Hundreds (maybe thousands) of retired Western Reserve employees are currently reaping the benefit of his life’s work, for which we are very grateful.
Rest in peace Mr. Kenney. Your legacy continues in the lives of everyone who knew you.

I am an a former employee of WRL back in 92 when I was 19. I randomly googled him today and sorry to hear of his passing, I remember being young and and thought it was cool when Mr Kenny who preferred to be called Jack would speak to me when I was just a young kid in the file room. I remember Jack would stand out with his green golf pants he would sometimes wear, this man walked around with a smile and made it a point to speak to everyone. Rest was sir

I am so sorry to hear about Jack’s passing. I have the fondest memories of the years we worked together and how he was always there for support when anyone needed him. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
I worked with Jack from 1990 until he left to form his new venture, Great Companies. He was a boss who led with grace and kindness. Everyone he touched was better for it—including me and my family. We will all miss him.

My sincere condolences to the family, at this most difficult time.
I remember Mr. Kenny always showed nothing but kindness to me wile I worked at Pioneer Western during my high school and college years. I am daughter of George Thompson, who also worked for Pioneer Western from the beginning of the Largo location blueprints until his retirement. My father and I both shared a sincere fondness for Jack.
I know Jack will be missed by many, I myself will never forget his smile and kindness.
