James J. Dowling was born on October 1, 1930 in the Bronx, NY to parents James and Marie Dowling. James moved to Florida in 1995 from Farmingdale, NY with his wife of 61 years, Joan. James served in the Navy and was a plumber by trade after his service. He enjoyed time with family and watching football.
James passed away peacefully on November 6, 2017. He is predeceased by his wife, Joan. Survivors include sons, James III(Karen), Michael(Bella), Thomas(Deborah); daughter, Kathleen(John) eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family asks to make donations to the American Heart Association or to the RCS food pantry of Clearwater.
