James Howard Livingston's Obituary
James ‘Jim’ Howard Livingston, 82, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, while in hospice care. He was born on March 13, 1943, in Anderson, Indiana, to the late Howard and Elene Livingston.
Jim was a hardworking and dedicated man throughout his life. He began his career at Peterson Lumber Company and later joined General Motors in Anderson, Indiana, where his strong work ethic and mechanical skill shone through. He retired from the Corvette Plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky, after many years of service. Alongside his career at GM, Jim also proudly served his community as a part time Police Officer in Chesterfield, Indiana.
In his younger years, Jim was known for his adventurous spirit. He loved to fly his airplane and spend time out on the water in his boat. He loved photography and was a lifelong enthusiast of firearms, he enjoyed collecting guns and took great pride in reloading his own ammunition — a true craftsman at heart.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Carol Livingston; his children, Jeffery (Beth) Livingston of Frisco, TX, James (Vickie) Livingston of Anderson, IN, and Phillip (Jennifer) Livingston of Lake Orion, MI; his stepchildren, Amy (Ryan) Fortune of Greenwood, IN and Shari (Christopher) Bailey of Largo, FL. He was a proud grandfather to 8 grandchildren: Nathan (Candice) Livingston, Jennifer Curl, Lydia Livingston, Zachary (Amber) Cone, Eston (Amber) Livingston, Madeline (Nick) Clay, Camden Livingston, Jacob (Allie) Livingston and 6 step-grandchildren; Dustin Hale, Zachary Fortune, Abby (Avree) Trisler, Ashton Bailey, Aaron (Vincent) Bailey-Santamarina and a great-grandfather to 8 great-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Elene Livingston, and his brother, Max Livingston.
Jim will be remembered for his dedication to family, his hardworking nature, and his love of adventure and craftsmanship. His legacy lives on through those who loved him most.
