James L. Schwartz's Obituary
Schwartz, James “Jim” of Dunedin, Florida passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at the age of 68 after a 16 year hard fought battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was surrounded at his bedside by his devoted wife of 32 years, Susan, daughter Jessica (David), daughter Meghan (Tony), and grandson Jude.
Jim was born in Lakewood, Ohio. He served in the Marines and was honorably discharged in 1968. He graduated from Cleveland State University with a Master’s Degree in Physician’s Assistant Studies. He worked for over twenty years with Medtronic, Inc. in their cardiac division. He was also a competitive bodybuilder who won several national titles. He loved spoiling and spending time with his family, being active, dining out, and traveling.
He was predeceased by his parents Benno and Marcella Schwartz. He is also survived by his sisters Barbara (Bob), Karen, and Marcella (Jim), many nieces, a nephew, and many grandnieces and grandnephews. This amazing man will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 3, 2017 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, ASPCA and the Humane Society.
