Condolences to all the family in the loss of my friend Jim Sonberg.
I met Jim during our RVing days. First met at Hanscom AFB Massachusetts, August 2014.
Talked Jim into meeting us that winter in Key West 2014-15.
Jim arrived Key West later due to Susan passing away. Probably close to March 2015. A small group of us were hatching a plan to spend following winter in San Carlos Mexico. Jim thot it was a good idea for him too. We all met at Davis- Monthon AFB, Tucson late Dec 2015.
Jim had bad weather coming west across I-10 from St Pete. Took Jim maybe 5 days to arrive in Tucson. o/a 4 Jan 2016, 5 RV rigs convoyed to San Carlos Mexico with Walkie Talkies. 250 miles south of the AZ/MX border.
We had a fantastic time 3 months in Mexico.
We'd purchased a home In The Villages the previous summer. Well Jim came to The Villages to spend a few days with us around 2017.
Then I discovered CA friends purchased a home in St Pete Beach. We'd stay in RV parks at MacDill AFB Tampa and Ft DeSoto County Pak in Tierra Verde. Jim would come have dinner with us from time to time.
We're going to mis our friend Jim Sonberg.
