Janet Elaine Gravel 's Obituary
Janet E Gravel, nee Ruter 78, of Palm Harbor, FL, formerly of Eagan, MN, died unexpectedly Saturday, January 26,2019 in Palm Harbor. Jan was born June 23, 1940 in Willmar, MN, the daughter of John and Olga Ruter. Jan retired from Northwest airlines after 33 years and began working at an outsource company with Delta Airlines until she retired for good. Jan was active on multiple women’s golf leagues in both FL and MN as well as bowling league, shuffle board, Red Hat Society, Breakfast club and Card Club. Jan enjoyed traveling, trying new things, word games and anything with her grandchildren who kept her young at heart.
She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 siblings: Gerald Ruter and Karen Holm and husbands Larry Anderson and Michael Gravel.
She is survived by a daughter: Kym (Peter) Kronschnabel and a son: Steve Anderson both of Mendota Heights, MN and her grandchildren; Matthew, Courtney, Caleb, Nicholas and Madelynn. Further survived by Stepchildren: Bridget (Mike) Bruno, Chris Gravel (Martin Mendoza) and Kate Gravel (Sean Mitchen) and 6 step grandchildren. Her Siblings: Katherine (Lyndon) Sonju of Golden Valley, MN, Arlene (Terry) Pooley of Janesville, MN and John (Paula) Ruter of Safety Harbor, FL. Along with other family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
