Janet McMullen Randall's Obituary
Janet McMullen Randall, 89, of Clearwater, FL went home to be with the Lord on July 10, 2026.
She was born on July 8, 1937 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater to Robert James McMullen and Robbie James McMullen. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Donald B. Randall, Sr. and granddaughter Brittany D. Holmes, Survived by her daughters and son, Belinda R. Holmes (Gary) of Alpharetta, GA; Donald Blaine Randall, Jr. of Port Orange, FL; Diane L. Randall of Clearwater, FL; Grandchildren, Jennifer H. Hunter (Scott) of Canton, GA; Randall M. Holmes of Columbia, SC; Abigayle P. Randall of Bartow, FL; Emma D. Randall of Port Orange, FL; Great-Grandchildren Lilianna M. Hunter and Logan E. Hunter of Canton, GA.
Janet was a cherished Mother, Nana and Friend and will be deeply missed. She was a member of the Pioneer McMullen Family and lived all of her life in Pinellas County. Growing up she loved riding horses with her mother and father an even participated in Barrel Racing Competitions with her horse Beauty. She graduated from Clearwater High School in 1955. With her love of music she was in Chorus, Glee Club and Madrigal Singers. She was active in Civic and Student Councils and Senate Chairman. She played on the CHS Volleyball Team, was May Queen and served as Homecoming Chairman. Through the years she was active with the CHS Reunion Committee. She was a member of the Clearwater Historical Society and enjoyed helping out with the Fish Fries and seeing old friends. Janet was a lifetime member at the First United Methodist Church of Clearwater. She enjoyed singing in the Chancel Choir and as a soloist. She was recognized by the Music Committee for her years of service, leadership and invaluable assistance to the music program. She was the Church Youth Director taking the youth on many Mission Trips and Youth Outings through the years. She was a true example in showing the youth how to treat others and how a Christian should live their life in service to the Lord. She served on many of the church committees and loved visiting and being with people. Janet worked for Robert J. McMullen Enterprise as Office and Store Manager. In her later years she worked for Dr. Sherman H. Pace as his Office Assistant.
Janet loved traveling and spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved working in her yard and watching the Rays play baseball. We were blessed to have such a dedicated, loving mother and grandmother leaving us with many beautiful memories and take comfort in knowing she is in the arms of our savior.
Services will be on Saturday, July 18 2026 at The First United Church of Clearwater, 411 Turner Street, Clearwater, FL 33756 at 10:00 AM and visitation on Friday, July 17, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 S. Belcher Rd., Clearwater 727-562-2070.
