Jason Clifford Borland's Obituary
Jason Clifford Borland, 55, passed away in the afternoon of April 17th, 2025, in Palm Harbor, Florida. Jason was born on November 27th, 1969 in Atlanta, Georgia, to his parents Ronald Borland and Judith McLeroy, the second of three children. He went to McIntosh High School in Peachtree, Georgia. From there, Jason would attend Poly State University, and finally end up at the University of Arizona, where he attained a bachelor’s degree in his true passion, architecture.
Jason began his career working as an architect for firms in Los Angeles, California. But his career would carry him all around the country, from California to Colorado. Jason never forgot his humble roots in Georgia. He did eventually make his way back to the South, moving to Louisiana and eventually settling in Clearwater, Florida.
From 1998 to 2023, Jason was on the Board of Architects & Interior Designers. He truly accomplished his lifelong dream, following is passion for architecture and becoming an established designer and registered private business building inspector.
Jason had a love of painting, drawing, and designing, which all fed into his career. Music was a second passion of his, and his love for playing guitar was unmatched, Pop and Rock being his favorite. He also loved his sweet animals.
Jason is predeceased by father, Ron Borland; his uncle, Ron Carlisle; and his grandparents, Delbert and Wilma Jean Carlisle.
He is survived by his mother, Judith (Jim) McLeroy; stepmom, Debbie Borland; uncles Wayne (Melanie) Carlisle and Lane (Leila) Carlisle; aunt Susan Carlisle; brothers Paul (Kelli) and Matthew Borland; stepsisters Janice McLeroy and Jeannie (Chris) Little; plus five nieces and nephews, and one great niece.
Jason’s final resting place will be in Plymouth, Indiana.
