Jean Callaway Morse's Obituary
Jean Callaway Morse
Jean, age 63, passed away on December 17th at her home in Clearwater, FL after a difficult fight with cancer. Jean, known to many old friends and family as "Tootie", was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Everyone who met her realized she was one of the most giving and genuine people they would ever meet.
Originally from Plattsburgh, NY, as a teenager Jean was an avid speed skater and while winter was her favorite season she and her family moved to Florida in 1982. Jean worked mainly in retail over the years, which fit her perfectly due to her never ending sense of humor and natural urge to help people however she could throughout her life. Jean had a devout love for children and for a time, instead of joining the work force decided to run a small daycare, so she could spend time with her children as toddlers.
She enjoyed camping in the family RV and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. For a number of years she was also an active supporter of the Susan G. Komen 3 Day - 60 Mile Breast Cancer Walk in St Petersburg FL.
Jean is survived by her husband Mike, of 45 years, her son Michael and daughter-in-law Jen Morse, daughter Angie and son-in-law Scott Reynolds. She also had four grandchildren Sara, Ella, Gerald and Hayden. Jean also leaves behind two sisters Joan Agudio (of Beaver Falls PA) and Janice Callaway (of Clearwater FL) and one brother Jack Callaway (of El Paso TX), along with numerous nephews and nieces and extended family.
A Celebration of Live service will be held on December 30th, from 5pm to 8pm at the Moss Feaster Funeral Home in Dunedin. All are welcome to bring an uplifting story about Jean to share with the congregation.
Jean, your love will light our way and your memory will be forever with us.
