Jeanette Pauline Pringle's Obituary
Celebrating the life of Jeanette Pauline Pringle
Jeanette was born on November 19, 1932, in Battersea, Jamaica, to John Levi and Rose Thompson-Levi. She was the 2nd of their seven beloved children. Jeanette enjoyed her childhood, working at the family store, excelling in school and spending long days playing with her brothers.
Jeanette married James Kenneth McKenzie Pringle on April 26th, 1957 in Discovery Bay, St. Ann. Their three loving daughters grew to be the light in Jeanette’s life. In 1976, she moved with her children to the United States to join her brothers and family who had previously emigrated.
As a legal secretary at Great American Insurance Company, Jeanette built lasting friendships while ensuring the happiness and comfort of her daughters. In 1982, they moved to Long Island, and she joined her brother Earl at the family’s successful Jamaican patty factory, Tower Isle. She embodied the Levi family work ethic and business acumen, setting an example for her children and everyone she encountered.
After retiring in 2016, Jeanette moved to Belleair Beach, Florida, to be closer to her children and their families. During this time, she lived close to, and later with, her youngest daughter, Suzanne. Together, they enjoyed the Florida sunshine, traveling and spending time with Jeanette’s grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Jeanette remained devoted to her Anglican faith. She attended Holy Trinity Episcopal church in Long Island and later Calvary Episcopal in Indian Rocks Beach and always took solace knowing the Lord watched over her family and loved ones.
Jeanette passed away on October 8, 2024. She was preceded in death by James, and brothers, Earl, Alvin & Holbrook. Jeanette leaves behind three brothers, John, Kirk & paul; her daughters, Judith, Joanne and Suzanne; and her grandchildren, Staci, Jennifer, Brian & Lauren. They live on to celebrate her devotion and love.
Visitation will be held from 3:30pm to 5:30pm on Thursday, October 17 and a funeral service on Friday, October 18, at 11 AM, at Moss Feaster Funeral Home located at 693 South Belcher Rd. Clearwater, Florida 33764.
