Jeannie Evelyn Delgreco's Obituary
Jeannie Delgreco, 75 of Tampa, died July 7th, 2023,
She passed away peacefully while surrounded and being comforted and by those who loved her the most.
Jeannie was born, March 27, 1948 in Yonkers New York, daughter of Louis and Carmela Foti , and sister to Geri. Jeannie was one of those people who truly lit up a room and those who were blessed to be in her light shall feel the loss of such a beautiful soul. She was the mother and best friend to Linda Lindsay and Jennifer Mitrakos, the "World's Greatest Mema" to Luke, Kaine, Austin, Stryker, Steele and Skye, the "fun" Aunt to Kathleen and Bobby, a great friend to Ed Rivera with whom she spent many hours enjoying sushi, riding Harleys and just enjoying laughs while watching T.V. or talking on the phone and a lover of dogs, especially her girl Rosie.
She was a phenomenal single mom when it wasn't en vogue. She raised two strong daughters and the only hand she ever raised was to lift them up. She taught them to work hard but love harder. She was the best hugger, cook, shopper, and friend you would ever know.
Her adventurous spirit led her in many directions, spending two amazing summers in Maui making memories with her daughter Linda and her grandchildren, where she collected sea glass and shells. She loved riding her Harley Fatboy (not on the back) to one of her favorite places, Daytona Beach. She cherished spending time in Daytona, with her daughter Jennifer and grandchildren walking the beach or just taking in the view from the balcony, always oceanfront, no cheap seats for "Bling Bling", that's how Linda always referred to her. Her loss has only begun to sink in and these beautiful memories will forever keep her alive in all our Hearts.
