Jefferson Edgar Webb II's Obituary
Jefferson Edgar “Jake” Webb II, a.k.a. “Grandpaw Dog”, 74, died Friday, June, 29th, 2018 at his residence in Dunedin, Florida. He was born on February 4, 1944 in Hayswood Hospital, Maysville, Kentucky, Mason County, the first son of his parents, the late Jefferson E. Webb and Helen Marksbury Webb of Williamstown, Kentucky. Jake retired at 55 from AT&T Communications in Cincinnati, Ohio, after more than 30 years of service. He was a volunteer for St. Williams Catholic Church of Cincinnati and a committee member for Boy Scouts Of America Troop 193. Jake was a graduate of St. William Grade and Williamstown High Schools, in Williamstown, Kentucky, and the Thomas Moore College School of Business in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
He is survived by his sons with his late wife Georgia Vincent; Jefferson (Carol) Edgar Webb III of Paw Paw, Michigan; George (Jennifer) Brooks Webb; and Jason (Helen) William Webb both of Cincinnati, Ohio and Frank (Jill) Logan Webb of Clearwater, Florida; one brother, William F. “Bill” Webb of Annapolis, Maryland; four sisters, Helen Harrison “Sissy” Webb and Lucie “Katie” Webb Clemons, both of Williamstown, Kentucky; and Cynthia Webb Smith of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and the late Mary Margaret Webb Mullins of Franklin, Kentucky; eleven wonderful grandchildren and fourteen nephews and nieces.
Jake enjoyed hiking and camping with his sons and their children. His joy was spent reading, traveling and playing national trivia. “Until we meet again, may the good Lord take a liking to you.”
