Sandy and Diana,
I was so sad to hear about your mom’s passing.
My memories of her and Uncle Ray are some of the happiest in my childhood.
She tricked me into eating deer meat, me questioning the “steak” flavor and Uncle Ray just laughing…
I loved going to your house and spending the night, I always felt as though I was home.
I was moved when you mentioned the amazing bond our moms shared. Thank you.
Love you both.
Joy
This is something I would never forget in one of our many trips we took with Meme. on this trip, we were going across the USA in a RV and that’s when the little accident happened. I unhooked the TV from it safe place and forgot to hook it back up before we started moving again. TV landed on top of her head almost knocking her out She was a strong woman, But on the same trip, I redeem myself by saving her life from drowning in Daytona Beach. The waves just kept knocking her down. She could not get up. That is something I will never forget.RIP Meme
We spent a lot of time at Aunt Jenette’s house as kids. One thing that stands out for me was one morning she made us French pancakes! “Crepes”. Never had them before. But they became part of my favorite thing to cook for my family and friends!
