Joann was the best friend and neighbor anyone could ever ask for. She loved her home, and her doors were always open for company. It was so fun to see the beautiful knitting, quilting, and sewing that she and her mom, Annie Lee, would always be creating. And if they weren't crafting, they were cooking up candy, cookies and cakes for all. I will always remember Joann cooking up southern black eyed peas and collard greens (delicious) for New Years Day! Joann cherished her friends, adored her family and all pets, and was a devoted neighbor.
Louden Avenue has lost a most precious treasure, but Joann will live on in our hearts forever, never to be forgotten.

Jo Ann was so influential in my young life. Spending every summer with my grandparents, George and Louise Saunders, she and her mother spent many evenings together having dinner and sharing stories! I also spent a lot of time at Curlew with her both in church and quilting in the old church! Jo Ann wan an incredibly generous lady, a huge animal lover and cared very much for our family! You will be very missed! RIP❣️❣️❣️
