This sweet lady had amazing determination, bravery and will to live that no doubt let her enjoy many more years than her body should have allowed. Her constant smile and positive attitude despite her medical struggles were an inspiration to me and surely to all of her medical providers. She was so proud of her family and surely will leave a void in many lives. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family, especially Ron who is simply an amazing husband and no doubt a big part of the reason she was able to live her last few years with dignity and the best care possible. Ron is my hero in the way he was Joan's biggest fan, advocate and constant companion. She was a very lucky lady and will be missed but had a life well lived.

We have such wonderful memories of Joanie! She always made us laugh and we always knew she genuinely cared about our family. She had a lovely spirit and love of life. No one could make you smile like Joanie! God bless her!
