Joann Masserini's Obituary
JoAnn Masserini-Maisto, age 80, of Dunedin, Florida, and formerly of Trenton, New Jersey, passed away on May 30, 2024.
JoAnn was born on April 30, 1944, to Christine Sereni and Joseph Masserini in Trenton, NJ. She attended Notre Dame High School and Hamilton High School, graduating in 1962.
In the early 1980s, JoAnn and Joseph “Bucky” Maisto were introduced by a friend on Hudson Street in Trenton. JoAnn and Bucky went on to live a happy life together for many years in both Trenton and Dunedin.
JoAnn loved the beach and living on the water in Dunedin. She enjoyed spending time with Bucky, her family, and many friends.
JoAnn was predeceased by Joseph “Bucky” Maisto. She is survived by her daughter Kristin Scaccetti-Gershengorn, son-in-law Greg Gershengorn, granddaughter Cory Gershengorn, her step daughters Nicole Maisto and Gina Smith and her son in law Gary Smith and their children Dylan, Jake, Sawyer, Alex, and Sam, and her step-son Nicholas Maisto, and many close cousins and friends.
JoAnn requested no services to be held and the family will honor her wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Suncoast Animal League of Palm Harbor to the animal charity www.suncoastanimalleague.org.
