Joseph P. Perrone, age 82 passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 with his family by his side after a very long battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born on July 11, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY to parents Anthony and Rose Perrone, and was the oldest of five children, Martin, Rocco (Deceased), Vincent and sister Elinor (Deceased). Some of his best stories and fondest memories were of the time he spent in Japan while serving in the military during the Korean War. It was love at first sight when he met Jeanne Macaluso and they were married on Ground Hog Day, Feb 2, 1957. They lived in New York until 1971 when they relocated to St. Petersburg, FL. There was nothing more important to Joe than his family. He was the proud father of two daughters, Patricia Perrone Chute, and Jane Perrone Sutton, and was thrilled when Patricia and her husband Matthew presented him with his grandchild Ryker Chute. Joe will be remembered as a kind and loving man who made friends easily, loved to laugh, enjoyed a good meal with friends and family, and was always there to help when needed. Joe is survived by his wife Jeanne, his two daughters Patricia and Jane, his grandson Ryker, and many others who will miss him. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Moss Feaster Funeral Home in Dunedin. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the National Parkinson Foundation at www.parkinson.org in memory of Joseph Perrone.
