48 of Clearwater, passed away peacefully May 22, 2017. He is predeceased father General J. Fred Campbell Jr; survived by his Mother, Harriette Campbell Barber (Wade Barber); brother Jimmy Campbell (Kim); sister Caroline Campbell; Aunt Judy Hecker; Uncle David Hemerick; Aunt and uncle Betsy & Bob Price; his many cousins and his beloved dog Tressel. John was born at Morton Plant Hospital, a graduate of Clearwater High in 1987 and Florida State University in 1991 with a degree in Finance. He was an Insurance Appraiser and had been employed in the insurance industry since 1992. John had a zest for life and never met a stranger. Known for his giving and unselfish nature, he had friends throughout the Southeast. Fishing and outdoor activities were John’s passion. He always enjoyed being on the water and was an accomplished boater. He could often be seen walking his trusty dog along the Bayfront. John was a huge FSU and Seminole fan and enjoyed his season tickets for many years with his friends and SAE Brothers. John had his happiest times with his friends or when he was doing something to help other people. A truly wonderful, unselfish person we will all miss. The Memorial Service will be Saturday, June 10th at Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church, 110 S. Ft. Harrison Ave., 33756 at 11:00 A.M. with a reception to follow in Church’s Roebling Hall. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the church in the name of John Campbell
