John T. Gannon's Obituary
John T. Gannon, 62, of Dunedin, FL, passed away Feb. 7th, with his family by his side. Born in Albany, NY, he moved here in 1981 from Plattsburgh, NY. His illustrious career in law enforcement included employment with the Clinton County Sheriff's Department, Indian Rocks Beach Police Department, St. Petersburg College and was a reserve officer at the Treasure Island Police Department. His passion was teaching others. As well as doing firearms training as Adjunct Instructor at St. Petersburg College, he volunteered his time for numerous other organizations. Continuing his love of people, he became involved with Pac N' Send in 1991. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Beverly; daughter Terri; brother and sister-in-law Michael and Margaret Gannon and 12 nieces and nephews. There will be Celebration of Life memorial service held Friday, 7 pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Gold Shield Foundation, P.O. Box 271791, Tampa, FL 33688.
