John D. Lawson Jr.'s Obituary
John D. Lawson, Jr, 53, of Tampa, FL passed away Monday, January 10, 2022. Born in Tampa on August 9, 1968, John made friends with everyone he met.
John was an avid Jeep fan and worked in the grocery business as a meat manager for most of his adult life. He loved serving the public and everyone searched him out for his help and conversation.
His favorite hobbies included salt water fishing, boating, making everyone laugh and performing as Michael Myers every year for Halloween at Brandon Forest subdivision in Seffner, FL.
John is survived by a son, Jacob and daughter-in-law, Victoria; girlfriend, Pamela Gates, parents Linda and Tom Burkhead and John D. Lawson, Sr; a brother, Shannon and his wife Christy; sisters, Melissa Tracy, Heather Burkhead; Aunt Carol Cobb and Uncle John Cobb; nieces, Destinee, Crystal, Hannah, grand-niece Kylie and great-nephews Jordan, Michael and Carter; stepdaughter Heather and her husband Daryn, and grandchildren Hayden and Anastasia; stepdaughter Holly and grandchildren Emma, Liam, Griffin, and Henry.
John was loved for his loyalty and sense of humor, and he never ever met a stranger.
