John A. Manner's Obituary
John Manner of the Clearwater Beach, passed away suddenly November 27th, 2017 at the age of 72.. He died peacefully at Mease Dunedin Hospital. He was born June 9th, 1945 in Coppercliff, Ontario, Canada. He and his wife Michelle, lived in the Clearwater area for many years. John retired as a merchant marine ships captain on the great lakes for Canada Steamship Lines. He had a very long and fulfilling career for some 50 years, however, he was not yet ready to retire and took up driving for Uber as what he thought was a fun hobby. His interests included talking to his grandson on the telephone, playing with his two wonderful dogs, playing the lottery, and enjoying life. He was preceded in death by his father Karl, his mother Ruby, his brother Kenny, and his nephew Shawn. He is survived by his loving wife Michelle Manner, sister, Lynn Gagnon, daughters, Lynn Taylor and Anne Manner, stepson, Brandon Ford, grandchildren Alex Manner, and Logan Taylor, and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. A service will be held at 5:00 pm at Chapel By The Sea, 54 Bay Esplanade, Clearwater, Florida. Followed by a celebration of John's life at 7:00 pm held at Les Partners Lounge, 144 Island Way on Island Estates.
