John P. Moungrides ("Goose") of Dunedin, Florida, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Manor Care of Palm Harbor.He was born in Clifton Forge, Virginia on July 21, 1934. He was the son of the late Peter J. and Frances Burrell Moungrides.John was a graduate of Clearwater High School. and moved here in 1946 from Dublin, VA. He was a Clearwater Bombers "Bat Boy from 1947- 1949.John served his country in the US Army from 1957-1959.He retired from General Telephone. John attended Calvary Baptist Church.John was preceded in death by his sister, Mary M. Robbins of Union, S.C..Survivors are his three sisters, Sarah M. Davis, husband, Jack of Greenville, S.C.;Katina Moungrides of Greensville, S.C; Georgia Moungrides of Dunedin, FL;brother-in-law Ray Robbins of Union, S.C.nieces, Cindy Gill, husband Chris of Tulsa, OK;Vicki Green of Los Angeles, CA; nephews Charles Robbins, wife Melissa of Rock Hill, S.C. John Robbins, wife Lisa of Union, S.C.; seven great nieces and nephews.A Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 18th from 1-3pm at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 1320 Main Street, Dunedin.The Chapel Service will follow here at 3pm.Graveside Service will be Monday, December 19th at 10:30 am at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater. www.mossfeasterdunedin.comMemorial Donations in John's Memory can be made to Suncoast Hospice or the Charity of your choice.Arrangements under the direction of Moss Feaster Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dunedin, FL.
