John H. Rigione III's Obituary
John Rigione was born on April 5th, 1949, in Queens, NY. John passed on August 29th, 2021, in Safety Harbor, FL. He leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Alma Elizabeth (O’Leary), and his son John and wife Lisa, his daughter Jennifer Rigione Bruce, three grandchildren, Deven, Connor, and Zoe, and great-grandson Benny, and a sister Joelyn.
After high school, John began his 30-year career with AT&T. Soon after, he enlisted in the U.S Navy where he proudly served 2 years active duty and 10 years as a reservist. He spent many weekends with his Navy brother and lifelong friend, Mike Cannizzaro. John very much enjoyed his retirement with his adoring wife and their love for their dogs. John had a sense of humor unlike anyone else and always kept you laughing or shaking your head. John would help anyone in need and never passed a hungry person without buying them a meal. He truly is the kindest person you could have ever met. John is blessed with the love of many as he never met a stranger. He will be profoundly missed. Go with God, pain free!
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider helping a Veteran or a local animal shelter in John’s memory.
