Joseph Kelly Cieskiewicz's Obituary
Joseph Kelly Cieskiewicz, 53, of San Diego, CA., died Friday, June 29, 2017.
He is the son of Patricia O’Hara Cieskiewicz of Palm Harbor, Fl. and the late Joseph Cieskiewicz.
Joseph, also known as "Kelly" to his family and childhood friends, was born April 28, 1964 in Hobart Indiana, whre he was raised. He graduated from Hobart High School, and was a stand-outmember of the football team.
He served in the US Marine Corps from 1984, where he served Honorably through 1993. Joseph was a veteran of the First Gulf War in Iraq. After his military service, he attended the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg, where he graduated with a degree in Management Information Systems technology. He worked in the field of information technology and network administration for the United States Government for the past 20 years. Some of his posts included Bahrain, the USDA in Texas, Navy Seals training facilities, and the Veterans Administration Human Genome Project in Boston. His most recentduty was as a network administrator for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SPAWAR) in Dan Diego California. He was an avid cyclist, fisherman and outdoorsman, who enjoyed cooking and music.
Joseph is survived by his two children, daughter, Amanda Cieskiewicz of Memphis, Tennessee and son, Kyle Cieskiewiczof Pontotoc, Mississippi; three siblings, Lynn Dunbar of Kentucky; Dawn Wyllie, Fl.; and Anthony Cieskiewicz of Fl.; also, seven nieces and nephews
Military Honors at Graveside will be Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 10:45 am at Bay Pines VA Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Fl.
Memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society or Wounded Warriors.
