Joseph S. Harra's Obituary
Joseph Harra passed peacefully on 10/13/14. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Katherine Bowen Harra, daughters Susan Young and Alice Harra, and grandsons Christian, Nicholas, and Gabriel Matesanz. A native of Tampa, son of Shirley Clayton and Charles Emanuel Harra, brother of Charles Harra (dec) and Dorthea Harra Hankins, and uncle of Mark Hankins and family. Retired Navy Captain and pilot, Joe led a P2V squadron during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Joe was a Univ of Fla grad ('48) and lifelong Gator fan. He loved the Florida waters, sailing, fishing, and golfing. Joe was fun dad, good friend, and kind man. A Celebration of Joe's Life will be Nov 9, 3 pm, Trinity Presbyterian, Clearwater. Military graveside service Nov 10, 1:30 pm, Bay Pines Cemetery (St Pete).
