Although it is with a heavy heart we all have in learning of Joe's passing, we can all admire, appreciate and celebrate the full life he had with his beloved Harriet and their four children. He so enjoyed his life and family, and he nurtured all of his passions with an abundance of love and caring - fishing, west Florida history, wood-working and preservation, child-rearing, the great outdoors, and so much more. Many a night I spent over at the Knight household with my dear friend Gayle, and I will always remember how he lovingly called Gayle "sweet pea". That was the first time I had ever hear that term. He was a warm presence. Rest in peace, Joe.
