Ron, Doug, Jeff, and Todd here, just saying goodbye. So thankful God gave us you. So thankful for every bit of everything you worked in us in order for “better” to work through us. It had a way of showing up in much of what we did and who we became. Who would’ve thought it would even show up in Jeff’s Super Bowl, but it did. You showed up. You were there. Your echo was there. Could hear you saying over and over and over again, “When you get ‘em in the ropes, don’t let up, don’t let up!” Talk about a competitor. You wanted to win and we wanted to win for you.
You’ve written a great story with your life coach. And we’re all so thankful to have been included in it. And before we go, thought you might appreciate some words that you’ve both modeled and inspired in us. Love you coach!

To my Husband Joe and my Sister-In-Law Marilyn,
Thank you for sharing your Dad with me for all of these years. He was like a Father to me. One day at hospice i played You Are My Hero for him. I don't think Heaven Got Another Angel, they got a SAINT instead. He loved you both so much he was Joe's best friend. I've never seen a Father and Son as close as you were. I am so impressed with how both of you took such good care of him. His love for you he got in return. Marilyn you took him right into your home and cared for him for years. You gave up your lifestyle to care for your loving Dad. We know that's not easy and you handled it with such grace. And Joe was there everyday to help out when he could. When he was in rehab you both went to his window everyday to visit and at Hospice you sat round the clock and Joe was holding his hand when he passed. The love he must have felt with his daughter and son by his side all day and all night for 8 days straight I can only imagine. Your love kept him alive. I have such comfort knowing you both were with him and I'm so proud and have so much respect for you. I know we are all better people because we knew him. He will always be in our hearts. I was so very sorry to hear of Mr. Majer's passing. He was one of my favorite and most respected teachers when I attended Conemaugh Townhip High School (Class of 1968).

To the family of Coach Majer - it was an honor to be instructed by Coach in both football and basketball in the late '70s at Conemaugh Township and be part of the '78 - '79 basketball team. His coaching skills were instrumental in helping us succeed in many tight playoff games that year! I was impressed three decades later when I had a chance encounter with him at the grocery store and he called me by name and recounted events of that magical season. Great guy - R.I.P.! Dan H.
Joe Major was an awesome basketball coach. I went to his basketball camps for years! I wish I knew he was in Clearwater. I serve as the CFO of Bon Secours St Petersburg.
I taught/coached 6 to 9 year olds basketball in Phila area using all his drills. Jump rope, jumping boxes, dribbling drills, passing - what a gem! 🌞❤️🙏
Coach Majer taught me a lot about basketball but even more about life. He was a great mentor and I will always cherish having him as a coach! Thank you and Rest In Peace coach!
